How Mobile Brake Service Works

We come to your home, office, or any safe location in Sioux Falls. Our technician arrives with all the tools and parts needed. We inspect your brakes, show you exactly what needs repair, give you an upfront price, and complete the work on-site. Most brake jobs take 1-2 hours. You don't need to wait at a shop or arrange a ride.
No. You just need to leave the keys and tell us where to find your car. Many customers schedule service at their workplace and let us work while they're inside. We'll text you when we arrive and when we're done. Some customers like to watch and ask questions, which is also welcome.
We can work anywhere with a flat, stable surface: your driveway, apartment parking lot, office parking garage, street parking, or even a friend's house. We bring our own equipment and don't need a lift or shop. The only requirement is enough space to safely work around your vehicle and set up our tools.
Light rain is usually fine. Our tools are waterproof and we have rain gear. For heavy rain, snow, or ice, we'll reschedule to ensure quality work and your safety. We monitor weather closely and will contact you as early as possible if conditions affect your appointment. Safety always comes first.
Yes. We service all makes and models: Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Jeep, Ram, and more. Domestic or import, sedan or truck, we have the parts and expertise. Just let us know your vehicle's year, make, and model when you call for an accurate quote.

Pricing & Payment

Brake pad replacement costs $150-$300 per axle for most vehicles. A full brake job with pads and rotors runs $300-$500 per axle. Exact price depends on your vehicle make and model. Luxury and performance vehicles may cost more due to specialized parts. We always provide a free quote before any work begins.

No. There is no trip fee, mobile fee, or convenience charge for our service area (Sioux Falls, Brandon, Tea, Harrisburg, and surrounding communities). The price you're quoted is the price you pay. What you see is what you get.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash. Payment is collected after the work is complete and you're satisfied with the repair. We never ask for payment upfront.
Call us at (605) 376-2130 or fill out our online quote form. Tell us your vehicle year, make, and model, plus any symptoms you're experiencing (squeaking, grinding, etc.). We'll give you an accurate price range right away. For exact pricing, we inspect your brakes on-site for free before starting any work.
We always get your approval before doing additional work. If we find worn rotors or a bad caliper during our inspection, we'll show you the problem, explain the options, and give you the price. You decide what to do. We never do surprise repairs or pad your bill with work you didn't approve.

Brake Warning Signs

Watch for these warning signs: squeaking or squealing when braking, grinding metal sounds, longer stopping distance, soft or spongy brake pedal, car pulls to one side when braking, vibration in steering wheel or pedal, and brake warning light on dashboard. Any of these means it's time for an inspection.
Squeaking usually means your brake pads are getting low. Most pads have a small metal tab called a wear indicator. When pads wear down enough, this tab touches the rotor and makes a high-pitched squeak. It's a built-in warning system telling you it's time to replace your pads soon, before they're completely worn.
Grinding is an emergency. It means your brake pads are completely worn down and metal is scraping against metal. Stop driving as soon as safely possible. Every mile you drive causes more damage to your rotors and calipers, turning a $200 pad replacement into a $600+ repair. Call us immediately.
No. Grinding brakes are dangerous and should not be driven. You have reduced stopping power and longer stopping distances. The grinding also causes rapid damage to expensive components. Drive only if absolutely necessary to get to a safe location, then call for service. We offer same-day emergency appointments.
Steering wheel vibration when braking usually indicates warped rotors or uneven rotor wear. Rotors develop thickness variations from heat cycling (hot brakes followed by rapid cooling). The uneven surface causes pulsation you feel through the steering wheel. Rotors may need to be resurfaced or replaced.
A soft or spongy brake pedal usually means air in the brake lines or low brake fluid. It can also indicate a brake fluid leak, worn master cylinder, or failing brake booster. This is a safety concern. Get your brakes inspected soon. We can diagnose and fix the issue on-site.
The brake warning light can indicate several issues: low brake fluid, worn brake pads (on cars with pad sensors), engaged parking brake, or ABS system problems. If the light comes on while driving, first check that your parking brake is fully released. If it stays on, get your brakes inspected as soon as possible.

Brake Service Explained

Most brake pads last 30,000-70,000 miles. However, this varies widely based on driving habits. City drivers with lots of stop-and-go traffic may need new pads at 25,000 miles. Highway drivers with steady speeds might go 70,000+ miles. How you drive matters more than the odometer.
Not always. If your rotors are smooth, have no deep grooves, and are thick enough, we can often reuse them. However, many modern rotors are designed thinner to save weight and may need replacement with the pads. We'll measure thickness and inspect for wear, then give you an honest recommendation.
Ceramic pads are quieter, produce less brake dust, last longer, and are gentler on rotors. Great for daily driving. Semi-metallic pads handle heat better and provide stronger stopping power, making them ideal for towing, performance driving, or heavy vehicles. We typically recommend ceramic for most drivers.
A full brake job includes new brake pads, new rotors, cleaning and lubricating caliper slides and pins, and a complete inspection of calipers, brake lines, and brake fluid. We also bed-in the new pads (proper break-in procedure) and test drive to ensure everything works perfectly. You leave with brakes that feel like new.
Brake pad replacement takes about 45-60 minutes per axle. A full brake job with pads and rotors takes 1.5-2 hours per axle. Front and rear together typically takes 2-3 hours total. We work efficiently so you can get back to your day without spending half of it at a repair shop.
Front brakes wear about 2-3 times faster than rear brakes. When you brake, your car's weight shifts forward, putting 60-70% of the braking force on the front wheels. You'll typically replace front brakes twice before replacing rears once. This is normal and expected.
Have your brakes inspected every 10,000-15,000 miles, or at least once a year. Many shops including us offer free brake inspections. Checking at every tire rotation is ideal since the wheels are already off. Regular checks catch problems early, before a simple pad replacement becomes an expensive repair.
Yes. Your car is safe to drive immediately after we finish. We test drive every vehicle after service to make sure brakes are working properly. New brake pads may feel slightly different at first and might make minor noise during the break-in period (first 100-200 miles). This is normal and will go away.
